AVTIMING

Mow Cop Runners and local residents welcome you once again to this famous event and hope you are all ready to take on the legendary Mow Cop Killer Mile.  
Starting on Drumber Lane, Scholar Green, the road climbs every step to the finish at the National Trust car park at Mow Cop Castle, with 570 feet of continuous climbing at 25% gradient in places.
The event was first held in 1982, and the fastest time of 6:12 was set in 1991 by Bashir Hussain.  There is a £1000 cash prize for anyone breaking the course record.
Group Entries for Schools, companies & fun runs are welcome (please select group entry).
Pre-orders for special Killer Mile technical t-shirts can be made with race registration at £5 for child sizes, or £8 for adult sizes.
All race numbers to be collected on the day, except the U12 event.  Their numbers are to be collected at the race start - the junction of Station Road & Birch Tree Road.
Toilets, refreshments and registration are in the field next to the crossing at the bottom of Drumber Lane.  T-shirt collection, toilets, refreshments, presentation are in the community church near the finish.
